Description

Mid-late nineteenth century perfume bottle. Cherub design. c. 1870.

This charming little perfume bottle was made towards the end of the nineteenth century. It retains its original suspension chain and was probably one of several objects that hung from a chatelaine. It is most likely to have been made abroad since it bears no marks. It has however been tested and is guaranteed. The bottle has a screw top and is decorated in the Rococo manner showing putti playing and gathering fruit.

This delightful nineteenth century perfume bottle is 7.5cm long and 2.5cm at its widest point. (Measurements approximate). It is in excellent condition showing light wear appropriate to its age. It has no damage and no restoration.
